In 2010, same year as the huge Gulf oil spill, I saw a program about a tribe living in their village at a river somewhere far away in some jungle in South East Asia. Beautiful images of the people and their village life and how they co-exist with their river and its water. ( Like all of us do in the world).
One day a paper bleach factory got build by people from the West and started to bleach paper for people in the West. The devastation and the illnesses it brought to these people still sits in my conscious mind. For some people this is a small story about water pollution but a big story to the people of this village. I saw a similar program that same year about the farming of prawns in again South East Asia, which brings about another growing pollution, devastation and health problems to the local people's daily lives.
1000sands of prawns living in a small pond getting fed hormones, antibiotics and chemicals, ( which we then eat ) After the prawns are big enough to be sold they dump the polluted water into the river. Their is so much endless greed going on in the world. Fast and more is not the answer. There are so many little stories every day everywhere in the world we don't hear about! Many indigenous people and their children in many countries are suffering enormously from bad water. If we continue this way much longer water and land will be the new oil.
A Cree Indian prophecy states,' when the earth has been ravaged and the animals are dying, a tribe of people from all races, creeds and colours will put their faith in deeds, not words to make the land green again'.
PRAYER FOR HEALING THE WATER by DR MASARU EMOTO
Dr. Masaru Emoto, the scientist from Japan who has done all the research and publications about the characteristics of water and how, among other things, water physically responds to emotions, has proposed a prayer for the Gulf situation. Notice the Ho'oponopono at the end :)
Right now, most of us have the predominantly angry emotion when we consider what is happening in the Gulf. And while certainly we are justified in that emotion, we may be of greater assistance to our planet and its life forms, if we sincerely, powerfully and humbly pray the prayer that Dr Emoto, himself, has proposed.
"I send the energy of love and gratitude to the water and all the living creatures in the Gulf of Mexico and its surroundings. To the whales, dolphins, pelicans, fish, shellfish, plankton's, corals, algae and all living creatures.....I am sorry. Please forgive me. Thank you. I love you."
We are not powerless. We are powerful. Our united energy, speaking this prayer daily...multiple times daily....can literally shift the balance of destruction that is happening.
We don't have to know how......we just have to recognize that the power of love is greater than any power active in the Universe today.
