The winter solstice is the name given to the shortest day and longest night of the year, marking the start of winter. This event occurs around December 21st in the Northern Hemisphere and June 21st in the Southern Hemisphere. Symbolically, this solstice represents the death and rebirth of the Sun, and a perfect day for self-reflection.
HAPPY WINTER SOLTICE TO YOU ALL!
It's quiet, but the roots are down there riotous." Rumi
All that is created on Earth is made out of mystical magic.
How is it otherwise possible when a seed falls out of a dying flower
unto the forest ground, knowingly to bore itself back into the dark earth,
growing into a bulb, then later instinctually pushing upward, that there is no other way,
penetrating ice layers to survive, to anchor back into Mother soil, growing out yet again, into a gentle flower to withstand the Arctic wind? All of this amazing effort just to partake in the endless cycle of coming and going. Excerpt: Only visiting this planet. Pina Lazara

'Winter is on my head, but eternal spring is in my heart.' -Victor Hugo
"In the midst of winter, I found there was, within me, an invincible summer.
And that makes me happy. For it says that no matter how hard the world pushes against me,
within me, there’s something stronger – something better, pushing right back.” Albert Camus.
