BUTOH: BODY ON THE EDGE

Before I started working as a spiritual healer, I was a proffesional percussionist for many years. 

In 1993 I worked o.a with the dance company AYA at the performance: Rilling http://www.aya.nl/voorstelling/rilling/ 

In this performance, amongst playing life percussion, I also did a butoh solo. I did not know what Butoh was, until it came to me after a traumatic event. I'd wittnessed my partner of 10 year un-expectedly dying in my arms. This shock was the catalyst who brought about the spiritual healer I was born to be, and who I am today.....

My book; Love is the Essence of the Soul Chrysalis talks about this and many other stories. It is out in since 2014 and since 2022 also in Dutch  http://viapina.blogspot.com/p/blog-page.html both in PDF. 

Many years ago in 2014 when I worked in a healing center in Clonakilty, Ireland, I saw a blue pin in a basket on the shop counter with the words: Just visiting this planet. I loved that button and those words straight away. I bought it and pinned it on my coat. I'd decided that would I ever write a book, I would call it: Just visiting this planet!!! 

When I starting writing, I realised that if I did, I would commit plagiarism. So I'd decided to change the word just into only and call it: Only visiting this planet. To make a very long story short, my first book got the title: Love is the Essence of the Soul Chrysalis. The long story is that I finally started to continue writing on my 2nd book. The title. Only visiting this planet.

Searching for the words: Just visiting this planet, I've found them back in this amazing butoh video above! When I played it, I found another surprise on it. The background music is one of my favourites!!! But I never knew the name the title of the song nor the group.

The first time I heard this music was on a cassete tape whilst rehearsing for my first ever proffesional dance/theatre performance in 1983! The lovely sound technician back than gave me that tape without hesitation, which I still have today.  After all those years I've found the name of the group in 2014!! Yello 

The more I'm writing this post the more I realise that life is connected by synchronicity!!!
