Consuming too little salt in your daily diet could be as dangerous as eating too much. According to Harvard-educated Dr. Saurabh Sethi, a gastroenterologist, less salt not only causes water retention and dehydration but also leads to an increased risk of death from heart failure, a rise in bad cholesterol levels, an increase in insulin resistance, and severe effects on your liver.
