Here is yet another passionate piece written by moi Pina the designer of the APinna portable arm supports 😊. THEY are so innovative that seeing them on a video or photo it's difficult to believe that they are so amazingly comfortable for your client or customer to lay on. They look hard, yet when you experience it for yourself, all you feel is the support it offers to your lower back and therefore to the rest of your body. 99% of people when laying on them utter the word "genius" or "brilliant". I'm writing this today not only to promote our fabulous product but also because I wish that more people start using it and experience APinna instant comfort for themselves. This video is still one of my favourite moments with Sheano how passionate he was when experiencing APinna for the first time! He thought that just by laying on them that was the thing! Many invaluable inventions have found their way into our lives, making things that bit easier, that bit safer, that bit more comfortable. In many cases these inventions have adapted effortlessly into our daily routine; It is as though they've always been with us.

In fact how often have we heard it said "What an earth did I do before" or "I couldn't imagine life without." We might even wonder why we hadn't thought of it ourselves!

APinna is just such an invention.

A brilliant piece of ergonomic design and engineering made of a light-weight, easy to clean, medically approved polymer. This unique product was conceived, tested and manufactured here in Ireland. It's made in Limerick and is the brainchild of Philippina Lazara who worked for years on the prototype, tinkering away at the shape, the material, the padding, even the weight and color to bring this inspired concept up to her exacting standards.

APinna was finally launched March 2016 in Dublin at the 'Mind and Spirit Festival.'

Visitors thronged to the stand where it was a star of the show. Often the first word that fell from the mouths of the visiting health and beauty therapists was "Brilliant" and "Now why didn't I think of that myself. "Philippina Lazara, known as Pina, is a sage, a healer and councilor; Born in Amsterdam she has brought her healing to many countries but chose to settle in West Cork, which has been her home for the last 20 years.

During her many decades as a therapist Pina frequently noticed a discomfort creeping into her clients lying on the massage table. She could see how arms, legs and even feet needed extra support. Relaxation is a key aspect of any healing session, yet here were clients struggling to find a comfortable position.

This was a growing problem that needed to be addressed, it rattled around in Pina's brain for ages, worried her, wouldn't go away until, walking on a sandy beach one afternoon, she tripped over a rectangular piece of driftwood. What she saw in her mind's eye resembled two arms - an idea struck her like a thunderbolt and the inspiration for APinna was born.

For practitioners in the health, beauty, spa and wellness sector, the added appeal of this invention is that this portable unattached support for the massage table is light enough to be carried in an accompanying cotton bag to any location. The brilliance of APinna is the innovative principal of counter balance, allowing the therapist freedom to position these unattached arm supports to create enhanced relaxation. The therapist just needs to wedge APinna under the natural curve of the client's back, close to the kidney area, and the client's outstretched arms will find their optimum point of comfort.

The APinna has been endorsed by a well known Irish massage table distributor, who appreciated the way in which APinna would compliment any treatment.
