 PROLOGUE

     Some parts of this book are written with the loving guidance of my dear friend Andre. On the morning of 12 April 2009, he woke me up at 4.30am. We were close friends for many years until the day he died in August 1995. Andre only reached the age of thirty. In his short life he touched many hearts. After his death he is still continuing to do so. Souls and Love never die.

     Andre re minded me many times that he would come back to me one day. We used to laugh about this. As the years passed, I forgot his promise. We are all busy living our lives, and most of the time this can be a good thing, but not always. In my case it turned out to be a major diversion.

     Andre’s searching soul took refuge in a Hare Krishna Temple in Amsterdam, where he entered into service as a monk. He lived there for the last years of his life. Before dying, he was honoured for his years of service and devotion. Madan Gopal was the Hare Krishna name he received, worthy of a holy man.
