# MEDITATION #

The Japanese say that even the other side has another side. We need to keep turning things over in our minds until we can see them in circles of motion, in spirals, in the complete roundness of their being, through all the cycles of becoming, undoing, renewing. We need to understand how we got to this point and then we need to remember it is just a point. We feel each beat as a beat but also as part of the rhythm in the dance of greater things. We need to turn ourselves around, in order to see our journey in its full spiraled progression, to see our self in its many iterations of age, development, understanding, to see how the layers peel away one by one and yet each is a part of the other, to see how the edges blur, to see how sometimes there are no sides at all.

# WHY PROTEIN IN YOUR REGULAR DIET? #

7. Not Getting Enough Protein in Your Regular Diet
Have you been depriving your body of protein-rich foods? Generally, healthy adults should consume at least 20 to 25 grams of protein in each meal, although this depends on your activity level and body size. Men in particular should get an additional 10 grams of protein with every meal to ensure excellent health. By increasing your protein intake, you can balance out your blood sugar while reducing insulin levels to promote a faster metabolic rate. What’s more, protein helps control hormones that increase your appetite, so you can slim down naturally. To power up your daily meals, consider eating high-protein foods such as ricotta cheese, shellfish, turkey, skinless chicken, salmon and eggs. These are your best options because of their low fat and high protein content – a great combination for slimming down and shaping up!
So are you ready to say hello to a flatter tummy and a more gorgeous body? Just be sure to avoid these seven bad eating habits, and you can be on your way to improving your body size and overall health.
  1. High protein foods include meatfishcheese, tofu, beans, lentilsyogurt, nuts, and seeds. Below is a list of foods with the highest protein to calorie ratio, for more information, see the sections on protein dense foods, other protein rich foods, low calorie high protein snacks, and protein isolates.

And at the same time, don't forget to walk, talk, exercise and relax as well! So, what are you waiting for??? Go and get busy!!! :) With your health and well being...

# A LETTER WORTH READING #

A friend send this to me in a group email:

If you have not read it take the time to read it now.
If you have read it take time to read it again!
GEORGE CARLIN (His wife recently died...)

Isn't it amazing that George Carlin - comedian of the 70's and 80's - could write something so very eloquent...and so very appropriate. A Message by George Carlin:

The paradox of our time in history is that we have taller buildings but shorter tempers, wider Freeways ,but narrower viewpoints. We spend more, but have less, we buy more, but enjoy less. We have bigger houses and smaller families, more conveniences, but less time. We have more degrees but less sense, more knowledge, but less judgment, more experts, yet more problems, more medicine, but less wellness. We drink too much, smoke too much, spend too recklessly, laugh too little, drive too fast, get too angry, stay up too late, get up too tired, read too little, watch TV too much, and pray too seldom.

We have multiplied our possessions, but reduced our values.

We talk too much, love too seldom, and hate too often.

We've learned how to make a living, but not a life. We've added years to life not life to years. We've been all the way to the moon and back, but have trouble crossing the street to meet a new neighbor. We conquered outer space but not inner space. We've done larger things, but not better things.

We've cleaned up the air, but polluted the soul. We've conquered the atom, but not our prejudice. We write more, but learn less. We plan more, but accomplish less. We've learned to rush, but not to wait. We build more computers to hold more information, to produce more copies than ever, but we communicate less and less.

These are the times of fast foods and slow digestion, big men and small character, steep profits and shallow relationships. These are the days of two incomes but more divorce, fancier houses, but broken homes. These are days of quick trips, disposable diapers, throwaway morality, one night stands, overweight bodies, and pills that do everything from cheer, to quiet, to kill. It is a time when there is much in the showroom window and nothing in the stockroom. A time when technology can bring this letter to you, and a time when you can choose either to share this insight, or to just hit delete...

Remember; spend some time with your loved ones,
because they are not going to be around forever.

Remember, say a kind word to someone who looks up to you in awe,

because that little person soon will grow up and leave your side.

Remember, to give a warm hug to the one next to you, because that is

the only treasure you can give with your heart and it doesn't cost a cent.

Remember, to say, 'I love you' to your partner and your loved ones, but most of all mean it.

A kiss and an embrace will mend hurt when it comes from deep inside of you.

Remember to hold hands and cherish the moment for someday that person will not be there again. Give time to love, give time to speak! And give time to share the precious thoughts in your mind.

AND ALWAYS REMEMBER:

Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.

If you don't send this to at least 8 people....Who cares?

# WHAT HAPPENS IN A HEALING SESSION? #

The session is around 1 hour and during that time you will be laying fully dressed on a plinth. There will also be nice relaxing music on the background. People have different ideas about what spiritual healing is, or how a spiritual healing session goes about. I use "hands on healing", combined with different techniques.

Hands-on healing means that I touch the body
There will also be moments that I don't touch the body.
I also use tuning sounds to adjust the energy body.

I use this form of hands-on healing as a support towards regaining trust and inner strength, inspiring and encouraging you to make changes essential for your personal growth and development towards restoring wholeness. I do this by receiving Divine Universal Love Energy and allowing the guidance of Angels and Ancestral Guides to work through me.
I am a channel for spiritual healing energy.

When someone comes to me, for instance with digestive problems or a headache, to heal that discomfort, I need to treat the whole person

I ask you some questions during the session, which you answer in silence to yourself. This helps you to process, to let go, and transform the issue we are working on.

Some people have instant positive results and others need to come back for a few more sessions. It all depends of the reason of your visit. You don't need to be sick or sad to come to me for a session. Many people just come for a session to relax.

I never know in what kind of atmosphere the work will be until we start the session. In the first session I make it clear to people that the work is done together. I am not, ”the magic person who takes it all away or changes things”, I merely facilitating the person healing process or to find her or his voice, empowering oneself.

It doesn't really matter how you call me or what it is I do. Every session is different and every person experiences the healing energies in different ways. Some people feel a fizzy feeling, or warm and tingly, whilst others experience a light trembling or shaking.

These are all different forms of releasing.
You can call it spiritual healing, energy healing, shamanistic healing, esoteric healing, or divine healing energy.

The only important thing is that healing occurs!

# HEALTH # FORAGE SOUP # SUNDAY SOUP #

Getting some unexpected guests for Sunday lunch? Go to your back garden or check out the little lanes and gutters and pick some nettle heads, a bunch of wild garlic and dandelions. Wash them thoroughly, ( mind those nettles), chop the garlic leaves a bit, put all herbs in the pan and make a soup like you would normally, et voila bon appetite! A soup filled with iron, minerals and vitamins, and so much! And all for free! If it's to green for ya, you can add anything else you like. Next time when you pull out these weeds, think again before you trow them away! Enjoy your Sunday, P x

The Dandelion has so much health benefits, that even to copy and paste all the info would fill up my whole blog! :) so here is the link of Lady Leaf

History and Folklore
Wild garlic was important to Native Americans in treating asthma and other respiratory disorders. In addition to harvesting the bulbs for food, some tribes chewed them to aid breathing and to treat digestion and intestinal gas. During the Middle Ages, the herb was instrumental in treating cholera and in preventing the plague. Fresh juice from the small bulbs was also an important wound dressing.

Potential Benefits of wild garlic

Wild garlic contains allicin, which may be responsible for the herb's potential health benefits. Allicin may have antibacterial and antimicrobial effects. It may also be an effective antioxidative, according to the "PDR for Herbal Medicines." Potential uses include the treatment of high blood pressure, arteriosclerosis and elevated cholesterol levels. It may also act as a blood thinner, making it useful for reducing the risk of blood clots. Evidence of these benefits is anecdotal, and clinical research in these areas is lacking.

Considerations

The use of wild garlic comes with potential side effects. The "PDR" advises that frequent contact with the fresh plant may result in irritated skin or an allergic reaction. Wear gloves to harvest the herb. In some people, consuming wild garlic may produce a bloated feeling, nausea and diarrhea.
Because it can thin the blood, consuming wild garlic may not be suitable after surgery.
Do not give wild garlic to children or pregnant women unless directed to do so by a doctor. Wild garlic harvested from a farmer's field may contain traces of pesticides or other chemicals.
