FORAGE NATURE’S HEALTHY INGREDIENTS

Getting some unexpected guests for lunch? Go to your back garden or check out the little lanes and gutters and pick some nettle heads, a bunch of wild garlic and dandelions. Wash them thoroughly, ( mind those nettles), chop the garlic leaves a bit, put all herbs in the pan, add some vegs, etc and make a soup like you would normally. Et voila bon appetite!!! A soup filled with iron, minerals and vitamins, and so much more! And all for free! Next time when you pull out these weeds, think again before you trow them away! Enjoy your Sunday, P x

History and Folklore
Wild garlic was important to Native Americans in treating asthma and other respiratory disorders. In addition to harvesting the bulbs for food, some tribes chewed them to aid breathing and to treat digestion and intestinal gas. During the Middle Ages, the herb was instrumental in treating cholera and in preventing the plague. Fresh juice from the small bulbs was also an important wound dressing.
Potential Benefits of wild garlic
Wild garlic contains allicin, which may be responsible for the herb's potential health benefits. Allicin may have antibacterial and antimicrobial effects. It may also be an effective antioxidative, according to the "PDR for Herbal Medicines." Potential uses include the treatment of high blood pressure, arteriosclerosis and elevated cholesterol levels. It may also act as a blood thinner, making it useful for reducing the risk of blood clots. Evidence of these benefits is anecdotal, and clinical research in these areas is lacking.

Considerations

The use of wild garlic comes with potential side effects. The "PDR" advises that frequent contact with the fresh plant may result in irritated skin or an allergic reaction. Wear gloves to harvest the herb. In some people, consuming wild garlic may produce a bloated feeling, nausea and diarrhea.
Because it can thin the blood, consuming wild garlic may not be suitable after surgery.
Do not give wild garlic to children or pregnant women unless directed to do so by a doctor. Wild garlic harvested from a farmer's field may contain traces of pesticides or other chemicals.

MY ATLANTIS; PINA LAZARA; WEST CORK

Born in the land of Aqui in the night that the stars radiated Cancer, I came into
the world crying, hungry and impatient. My Aquarius father kicked and yelled at
everything that he disliked in his waterway, especially me. Had I asked to be there?
When I was little I refused to believe so, but, all the same, it happened.

There was more water than land in this place, and it felt as if the sun shone more
on your feet than on your head. My Scorpio mother often pulled me out of the
water and back on to shore, mainly so that I could cry in her arms to dry out.

That was all I ever longed for when I was young, to be able to be with my mother
on safe land. One day my little heart went on a quest and found another mother for the other
half of always. She lived next to us on a very nice sunny light-field and I went to her
many times to recover. She always took me in, no matter what.

When I was with her I never felt the need to cry. I cried a lot for many years. It became my first form of communication, crying water and land together. Later on, I learned to laugh more.
I learned from my father that when I cried for myself he would make me cry even more and,
when I cried for him, he hurt me even more.

When my mother was at home I talked and laughed more, feeling safer and happier.
Then the sun shone on my head and I felt less pain. Also my feet didn’t have
to run so fast. My sister and two brothers were older than me and maybe because of
that they already knew that it was better to laugh than to cry.

One of my brothers was also born a Crab, but with more weight in his shell. The
other brother is an Aries. He grew a long mane, a sign of courage, but Aquarius
decided that the power-mane had to be cut off. Aquarius would rather have seen us
stay small, or even that we didn’t exist at all, but exist we did, and slowly we grew up
and started to stand up straight and tall.

My sister was an Aqua girl and, just like Aquarius, had four eyes. You couldn’t see
this when she was young, but only when she became older. She was the most quiet
and sensible of us all. She often went to our grandmother, who lived behind the
dunes in a sheltered spot on the beach, at a safe distance away.

The more I started to grow up straight, the more Aquarius tried to beat me down,
but his beatings didn’t hurt as much anymore. I started to recognise his beatings as
a lack of power, though the words of his misery hurt me more.

Almost every day he pushed these words through my ears and into my head.
Poor Aquarius, all he was doing was trying to shout the misery out of his own head,
but it didn’t really work like that. Sometimes he shouted so loudly that the words just
echoed back into his head.

He must have been nice sometimes, but I can’t really remember if he ever was. He did what he felt
was best, but maybe he just lived in the wrong place. One day Scorpio told Aquarius that it couldn’t go on like this and that he had to live somewhere else.

It was a good day for all of us. I had grown up as a little boy that didn’t want to
be a girl, because girls weren’t as strong as boys. Later on, the little girl dared to grow
up, though still often under the supervision of the little boy.

After Aquarius left, my Crab brother met a Pisces woman with whom he swam
away to different grounds. They are still swimming around together with their three
crab-fish alongside of them.

Aries grew back his mane and let his hair flutter in all directions. After years of
wandering around outside the borders of Aqui, he was pierced by the arrow of a
Sagittarian Amazon woman and they are still together to this day, accompanied by
their Centaur son.

My sister bumped into another Aquarius, also with four eyes and a lack of power.
Their journey went wrong very quickly. So it came to pass that he too had to go
away to live somewhere else. Their two Aqua babies stayed with her.
Mother Scorpio continued to dart around between the water, the land and the rocks,

until she finally found what she had been looking for. I was intertwined for
a few years with another Crab, who gave me all he had to offer, but I knew that I
wanted something else. So the day came for me, too, to leave Aqui, land of Atlantis, for Alli.

SHINE YOUR LIGHT. DON'T HIDE YOUR MAGIC

Our Deepest Fear
By Marianne Williamson
Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us.
We ask ourselves who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?
Actually, who are you
not to be? You are a child of God.
Your playing small does not serve the world.
There's nothing enlightened about shrinking
So that other people won't feel insecure around you.
We are all meant to shine as children do.
We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us.
It's not just in some of us; Its in everyone.
And as we let our own light shine we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we're liberated from our own fear our presence automatically liberates others.

Note:
This inspiring quote on our deepest fear is taken from Marianne Williamson's inspiring book A Return to Love. Though often quoted as part of Nelson Mandela's moving inaugural speech, "Our Deepest Fear" does not appear in the speech. Marianne Williamson herself has commented on this mistaken attribution. πŸ‘ΌπŸ§š ENCOUNTERS WITH THE SERAPHIM πŸ‘ΌπŸ§š

RE-POST 2022

Originally this film was going to be a part of Samadhi Part 3, but it grew into its own separate creation. It explores something very important that is seldom spoken of in some spiritual traditions (the topic is almost taboo). It is based around insights that came during a "peak meditation experience" when I encountered beings that identified themselves as "the Seraphim".

If this video has sparked any interest, you could watch Samadhi Part 1/2/3/4. Enjoy, if you do.

YOUR PURPOSE IN LIFE IS TO FIND YOUR PURPOSE

All is sacred, so are You. People are basically loving and born with the potential to be kind.
Every thought of our spirit births an emotion inside our body, which translates that feeling to our hearts and hopefully moves our mind into positive conscious action. Pina Lazara

                             ORIGINAL COVER DRAWING

The meaning of life is to find your gift. The purpose of life is to give it away. This statement is often attributed to the famed playwright William Shakespeare or the influential painter Pablo Picasso.

SURRENDER TO THE PATH YOU ARE BORN TO WALK

Being a medium is a choice to come home to one’s purpose in life. It is a surrendering to the path you were born to walk. It is being in compassionate service towards others. It took me a long time to finally start listening to the way of the born spiritual healer. It all started after having visited my English friends on my way to Ireland. I spontaneously wrote this poem whilst on the night ferry crossing from Fishguard to Rosslare on 20 Jan 1998 πŸ’ž

963hZ DIVINE INNER PEACE FREQUENCY

The Mind, Body and Spirit as a Collective Collector

Emptying our minds is one of the most useful things we can practise in our lives. Some people can do this unconsciously, while others have to do it in a conscious way. A silent moment of peace and quiet in this busy world we all live in is a precious thing. Silence, when positive, is a sigh of peacefulness.

It is a meditative harmonious reconnecting with the source we all come from. This can give us a sense of calm, a feeling of renewal. We feel refreshed when we have spent some time alone in our ‘bubble’, or when we have had a little break from it all.

When our life is happy, our mind can tap into this calm state of being whenever desired. It is also good to contemplate precious memories of joy and harmony, giving us a feeling of contentment. This is the plan the Divine has in store for us.

There are a lot of happy and loving people out there in the world, who were able to stay connected with that loving energy they received as their birthright. These are the children who grew up with the right foundations and became loving, respectful, wise and compassionate adults.

Compare it to building a house. The right foundations and the proper building materials are vital. All houses should be built with the right amount of concrete, sand, water, stones, wood and insulation in order to be able to offer protection from natural forces.

Unfortunately, not everyone lives with this sense of safety and harmony. But we can all learn. Feeling safe is a feeling of being supported and protected, by yourself, your family and friends, the Universe and its patterns of sacred Love.
